D10963 - 1/2" CO2 Cylinder Valves
General Information
Designed for the Fire Protection Industry, the valve is servo assisted for light opening loads throughout the range of CO2 cylinder pressures.
The valve can be operated manually, electrically, or by pressure means, the manual type by lever, electrically, by solenoid or ICI Metron and pressure through a separate pilot system or by manifold pressure.
When the firing pin is depressed (by whatever means), the pilot valve is opened allowing cylinder pressure through to the top side of the servo piston pressurising it downward to open the main seat.
This is achieved by the area advantage of the servo piston in relation to the main seat and results in a smooth opening of the valve together with high flow characteristics.
A burst disc is fitted to the valve to protect valve and cylinder in the event of over-pressure.
