D11095 - 1/2" Solenoid Operated CO2 Cylinder Valves
General Information
Designed for the Fire Protection industry, the valve is servo assisted for light opening loads throughout the range of CO2 cylinder pressures.
The actuator uses cylinder pressure to feed a solenoid valve. Once this solenoid receives its required power, it opens allowing pressure to reach the pilot valve on top of the main cylinder head valve.
The actuator can be disconnected from the cylinder head valve, by removal of the 'U' clip, to enable safe function testing. The solenoid valve block assembly can also be safely removed, as the cylinder head valve tapping has a non-return valve.
Should the solenoid valve develop a slight leak, there would be a danger of the cylinder being released. To cope with this eventuality, a bleed valve is installed which bleeds any such gasses safely to atmosphere. This valve automatically closes when the solenoid is fully open.
Other features include manual resetting to unlock the actuator once it has activated and a manual back-up release lever.
